TheBlankList
Terms of Use
TheBlankList
Last updated: 5 August 2026
By using TheBlankList you agree to what follows. It is short, and there is nothing buried in it.
What this is
TheBlankList is an app for tracking films and series you have watched or plan to watch. It keeps your list, remembers which episodes you have seen, and tells you when new ones air.
It is not a streaming service. It hosts no video and plays no films or episodes. Trailers are embedded from YouTube; everything else the app shows is information about a title, not the title itself.
Your account
You need an account, so that your list can follow you between devices.
- Give a real email address. Password resets go there and nowhere else.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as
done by you.
- One account is for one person. Share it and whoever you share it with can
read and delete everything in it.
- You must be 16 or older in the EU, or 13 or older elsewhere.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. It takes effect immediately and takes your list with it.
Fair use
Use the app to track what you watch. Do not:
- Automate it, scrape it, or hammer it with requests. The app's access to TMDB
depends on staying within their terms, and losing it would break the app for everyone.
- Attempt to reach anyone else's account or data.
- Republish or resell the metadata the app displays. It is not ours to license.
- Use it to break the law where you are.
Any of these can cost you access without notice.
Where the information comes from
Every title, poster, description, cast list, episode list and air date comes from TMDB.
> This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Streaming availability โ the "where to watch" panel and the platform filter โ comes from JustWatch, supplied through TMDB.
Trailers are served by YouTube.
None of this is ours, none of it is guaranteed accurate, and none of it is checked by us. Air dates move, streaming rights change weekly, and a title can appear on a service one day and be gone the next. Treat what the app shows as a useful indication and not a promise.
TheBlankList is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TMDB, JustWatch, YouTube, Trakt, Netflix, Disney, HBO, Amazon, Apple, or any other service named anywhere in the app. Their names and logos belong to them and appear only to identify them.
Importing your data
The app can read an export file from another tracker and add what it finds to your list. The file is read on your device and is not uploaded anywhere.
Matching depends on the identifiers in that file being correct. An import only ever adds titles, never overwrites what you already track, so a bad import leaves your existing list intact.
What is not promised
The app is provided as it is. There is no warranty of any kind: not that it will be available, not that it will be free of faults, and not that anything it shows is accurate.
It may change, features may be removed, and it may stop being available altogether. If that happens you will be told in time to export your list.
Your list is backed up to the server, but keep in mind that no backup is guaranteed. If it matters to you, export it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, TheBlankList is not liable for any loss arising from using it โ including lost data, a missed episode, or a subscription bought on the strength of availability information that turned out to be wrong.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this document.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them; if you do not, delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.
